We take full responsibility for the quality of our products. This quality process is all-encompassing, beginning with sourcing of our crude material. We rely on long-lasting, mutually beneficial partnerships with our suppliers. We establish standards and requirements for the products they sell us, which are consequently checked and controlled. All lots supplied of substandard quality are refused and will not be cleared for production. We try to create substantial turnovers with all our suppliers to incentivize accordance with our requirements. All incoming goods are quality checked and afterwards all invoices are settled within 10 days from date of invoice. Maintaining a fair relationship with our suppliers further enables us to participate in their new technological developments, which keeps us a step ahead of the market main stream. Munzert developed a computer aided inspections system for all our products, which makes it possible for us to trace all goods and to analyze eventual malfunctions in the manufacturing process. This data is stored for a minimum of 5 years and can be supplied as long as the piece ID number is provided. The piece ID numbers are on a non-removable label at the beginning and the end of every woven piece. The label will be attached after the weaving process and accompanies the piece the whole way from finishing, through out inspection, packing and transport.
Similarly, we have established high quality standards for our products. All defects will be marked and registered. Goods not meeting our conscionable criteria will be sorted out as second choice and will not be delivered to the customer. Quite often we encounter a situation where second choice goods, when offered at special prices to our customers, are no longer recognized as second choice. The low defect rate per piece enables our customers to use more fabric, minimizes the number of non-usable, small rest pieces while consequently reducing the costs and the waste.
