1925 – Foundation of Gebrüder Munzert

The company Gebrüder Munzert was founded in 1925 by the brothers Heinrich and Georg Munzert. At that time, 8 weaving looms were used to produce damask and garment fabrics.

1950 – 1993

In the 1950s, the founders’ sons, Arno and Gerold Munzert, took over the management. The product range changed from cotton damask to upholstery and decorative fabrics. The company grew steadily. In 1990, Arno Munzert retired from his position in the management. His son Klaus took over his place.

1993

In 1993, Gerold Munzert handed over the commercial management to Bernd Kout. Since that time, Klaus Munzert and Bernd Kout have been shaping the company’s philosophy.

Over the years, the factory building and production facilities were continuously modernised and adjusted to the current state of technology.

2020

At the end of 2020 Mr. Klaus Munzert takes his leave and retires as CEO.

2025

With Alexander Kout, a new generation joins the company. As commercial director, he provides decisive impetus and is instrumental in advancing the strategic development of Gebrüder Munzert.

2025

A century of passion, masterful craftsmanship, and continuous innovation: Gebrüder Munzert celebrates its 100th anniversary—a significant milestone that combines traditional values with the vision for the future in a unique way.

2026

A historic generational change: Alexander Kout takes over sole management of the family business in its fourth generation. Bernd Kout accompanies the transition and remains associated with the company as a consultant, contributing his many years of knowledge and experience.
