FR VISION – an outstanding element of textile art

The novel development transfers the art technique of tabula scalata to fabric surfaces, allowing changing design patterns to be revealed depending on the viewing angle. This visual effect not only opens up new design possibilities, but also creates a compelling acoustic effect through the tailored use of sound-relevant weaving technology. The result is a fabric that combines aesthetic fascination with functional excellence.
The independent Red Dot jury, formed by 43 international design experts from 21 countries, explained its decision in precise terms: “Thanks to its skilful craftsmanship, FR VISION noticeably improves room acoustics. The changing visual effect also creates an impressive impact.”

Outstanding brand strategy: Gebrüder Munzert wins the German Brand Award again.

Gebrüder Munzert received the renowned German Brand Award 2023 in the category “Excellent Brands – Interior & Living” for the new premium brand “SENSUS by Gebrüder Munzert”.

German Design Award 2020 – Gebrüder Munzert wins repeatedly!

“Noise insulation is a trendy subject. The semi-transparent decorative materials of the Acoustic Line promise a noticeable optimization of the acoustics in the room, have a very modern and high-quality look and offer countless possibilities for room design thanks to the variety of colors and styles”, argues the German Design Council in their jury vote.

German Design Award 2019 – We won!

Thanks to the successful overall concept, our premium brand “PIVOT – by Gebrueder Munzert” won over the experts of the German Design Award. “In addition to the great creative diversity, the craftsmanship-demanding qualities, which are visible and, above all, tangible down to the last detail,” convinced the German Design Council in its jury statement.

Chief Designer Hannes Neubert sees the award once more as a confirmation of the high standards of his entire creative team. “PIVOT lives through the constant development of the concept idea. The German Design Award is already inspiring me and my team to exciting new fabric developments.”

Origami

The company Gebr. Munzert GmbH & Co. KG delights the 37-member Red Dot Award: product design 2013 jury of experts with the product development “Origami” and wins the award “best of the best” among 4,662 products of international designers. By awarding one of the world’s most renowned design prizes, the jury honours the company’s creativity. The prize was be officially awarded during the Red Dot gala in Essen on 1 July 2013.

Prof. Dr. Peter Zec, initiator and CEO of red dot, pointed out that especially today, a high level of competence in design and economic success go hand in hand: “The winners of the red dot award: product design 2013 are the protagonists of a highly-developed design culture and design industry. Nowadays, it is becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish well-designed products from one another. Characteristic features can often only be seen by taking a closer look at the details. Those creations, however, which comply with the international red dot jury’s high standards, will stand out from the mass of products and compete successfully in the global market.”

Product development “Hologram”

Hannes Neubert has managed to transfer “hologram technology” onto a woven fabric for the very first time with the Holo Collection. The product changes its design and colour, depending where the viewer is standing. Using a specially developed relief-like weaving technique and the fibre-dependent imprecision of the pile height, there arises an atmospheric interplay of overlapping images, which create the charm of this design, thanks to their blurred nature.
